A Few Words About Raymond Pittet

A native of Switzerland, owner Raymond Pittet is a former fromager (cheese maker), who began his world traveling in Australia, and later in Afghanistan, where he was sent by the Swiss government to assist native tribes in cheese manufacture.  Exposure to tribal weavings sparked a lifelong interest in Oriental rugs, and Pittet opened his first gallery in California in 1978.  Dallas was a thriving and growing home decorating market in the early 1980's, and Pittet moved his business to the Design District, and expanded his focus to include furniture and accessories.
