Antique European commode in Walnut

 Here is a fantastic European commode from the Lombardy region of Northern Italy. This piece dates to the early eighteenth century. It is 41" tall, 27.5" deep, and 63" wide. It is a prime example of furniture design in this period. With it's massive scale and clean lines it features an inlaid motif of seahorse with Walnut and Pear wood. The original hardware consists of two mermaids cast in bronze. This piece retains its three original locks and is in great overall condition.
